A chalet-ready website for a French chef in the Alps
Private Chef in the Mountains is a private chef service offering French cuisine in Alpine chalets. Exibify designed and built the website that presents the menus, destinations and booking enquiry.

The Project
About Private Chef in the Mountains
The service is run by Chef Steven, who began in hospitality in 2006 and has worked in kitchens in France, Norway and Belgium. He cooks private dinner parties for two up to seated parties of 25, seasonal tasting menus of five to eight courses, and event catering for up to 50 guests on request. The chef arrives early, cooks and serves on site, and leaves the kitchen spotless. Based between London and the Alps.

The Brief
What the website needed to do
Guests booking a chalet holiday want to know quickly who is cooking, what the evening looks like and whether the chef can reach their resort. The website had to carry the feel of high-end hospitality without becoming stuffy, answer practical questions about dietary needs and group size, and funnel interested visitors to a simple availability enquiry. It also had to feel at home on a phone, since many enquiries start while planning a trip.
Our Approach
How we designed and built it

- 01
The design leans on the language of fine dining: a calm, spacious layout, a first-person welcome from the chef and a strong line on the standard of service. Short numbered points describe what makes the evening different, from classical training to the kitchen being left clean. Generous white space and large type give the page the pace of a tasting menu.
- 02
Services are shown as distinct offers, each with a short description and a link to more detail: private dinner parties, seasonal tasting menus and events and celebrations. Cuisine and Destinations pages go deeper for visitors comparing options or checking whether their resort is covered. Wording stays specific, naming real course counts and group sizes rather than vague promises.
- 03
Calls to action recur through the navigation and the page, with Book the Chef and Check Availability buttons leading to one Inquiry page. A newsletter called the Alpine Journal offers a softer way to stay in touch. The tone throughout stays warm and personal rather than corporate. Every page keeps the same navigation, so the enquiry is always one click away.
