AB Taxis Colchester has served the town since 2008 with local taxis, airport runs and executive travel. We designed and built a website that gives customers a full booking form, clear fares and a number to call at any hour.

About AB Taxis Colchester
The company runs a taxi and chauffeur service across Colchester and Essex, with Mercedes-Benz and Audi vehicles for corporate and special-occasion travel. Services include airport and seaport transfers, executive and corporate travel, sporting events, race days, guided tours, theatre trips to the West End and simple one-way journeys. Dispatch is open 24 hours, and drivers are described as licensed and DBS checked.

The Brief
What the website needed to do
A taxi site works when someone standing in the rain can get a car in seconds, but this firm also sells planned, higher-value trips. The site needed to cover both: a quick call button for immediate needs and a detailed form for a return airport journey booked weeks ahead. It also had to be honest about pricing, set out fares clearly and show the business is firmly local.
Our Approach
How we designed and built it
- 01
The home page opens with the phone number and Book a Ride button, then establishes the company's history and local knowledge. Nine service panels follow, each with a booking button, so a customer planning a race day sees that it is covered without searching.

The Direct Dispatch section carries the real work: trip type, pickup and destination, date and time, optional return leg, airport or port, vehicle size, journey purpose and passenger details, ending in an instant quote request. A fixed-fare list for airports and seaports sits alongside, with notes on extra charges, and a journal adds local content.

Because the booking form is long, we grouped its fields into logical blocks and revealed the return-leg inputs only when a return trip is chosen. That keeps the form short for a quick one-way journey while still covering the detail needed for an airport transfer with a different drop-off address.
